Responding to the needs of a modern city in the making, D.A.V.College Trust and Management Society New Delhi passed a resolution to open a school under 10+2 pattern of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi on the recommendations of the Regional Directorate, D.A.V. Institutions in Orissa in the year 1989.  A humble beginning was made in April-89 when 150 students and 12 staff members assembled  at Hillpatna for education.In its 16th year, our strength has increased to 2000 students and 100 members on the school’s staff.  Presently, the school is a pioneer among the C.B.S.E affiliated schools in the district of Ganjam.  In its pursuit for excellence and all-round development of the child, the school provides ample scope for academic work and non-scholastic activities.  The school works in three shifts, two in Gandhinagar and one in its own building at Sadanand Vihar, Gosaninuagaon.
